Screaming Emu has been established since 2011 and is proudly an independent family owned and operated business based South of Adelaide in Flagstaff Hill. Founder and proprietor Adam Rodger, is very passionate about his gardening business and believes its success comes down to providing reliable, honest superior quality work with attention to detail and value for money.

Screaming Emu’s specialty is providing regular garden maintenance programs to ensure clients lawns and gardens are always maintained and look their best all year round. Each program can be tailored to your budget and individual requirements. Screaming Emu also provides services for once off lawn cuts or gardening jobs.

Lawn Mowing

Keep your lawns looking there best, request a quote for regular lawn mowing. Regular lawn cutting keeps weeds down and lawn in good health. For optimum health, lawns should only have one third of its length cut off with each visit to avoid scalping and damaging the lawn.

Garden Maintenance Programs

A popular choice amongst Screaming Emu’s clients are tailored garden maintenance programs. These are an excellent choice for people that are time poor, physically not able or simply prefer to do other things than gardening.

Fertilising

Just like humans, plants need food too! Don’t deprive your lawns or gardens, feed every 3 months for most things, this should help keep them looking there best and in excellent health, this also helps prevent further health issues.

Rose Pruning

Annual winter pruning is the best time for giving roses there winter cut back. Screaming Emu has had a great deal of experience in pruning roses and will provide you with a quality job that will have your roses looking there best guaranteed.

Vegetation Removal

Screaming Emu can provide small or large vegetation removal; a caged trailer is always in use and the vegetation is returned to responsible recycling plants that turn waste back into mulch and compost.

Hedge Pruning

Maintaining a tight growing healthy hedge means it must be pruned regularly. If a hedge is left too long you may be faced with the decision of leaving it to shoot to the sky or giving it a severe cut back that may kill it or badly damage it.

Weed Spraying

Glyphosate is used for weed spraying and can be applied all year round, however it works much faster in the warmer months. Weeding is performed at an hourly rate, please contact for more details.

Trimming and shaping of shrubs and small trees

Will not only aid in maximising the visual appearance but will help prevent shrubs and trees growing beyond a maintainable height. Preventative maintenance is the key, as over grown trees are expensive to cut back or remove.

Removal of small trees and shrubs

When you need it gone or have changed your mind Screaming Emu can help with vegetation removal and poisoning of stumps if required.

Supply & installation of plants
